Up Close with Tora Tora Tora

While shooting at the California Capital Airshow I was offered the opportunity to go up in an open-canopy Zero replica. This was my first experience flying in formation and as a result I now have immense respect of those who do this on a regular basis. The pilots are fun to be around, but when the engines were fired up it was all business. The pre-flight meeting was just as intense and hanging around these professionals was the opportunity of a lifetime.

And so it begins... again

Well, here it is. As 2011 draws to a close it's time to move to HTML5 and a fresh installation of Joomla! I've been somewhat envious of some of the newer sites out there and have taken it upon myself to look as cool as the next guy.

Not being one to want to change too much I'm still sticking with the orange theme. The logo gets an update to match the spiffy Web 2.0 look I'm after. I really like the clean look of new sites and hope to hear from users, both positive and negative. Handheld users, I'm particularlly interested in your experience.

Other than that, it's pretty much business as usual. (With a twist or two)
